ABOUT JOHN NIES:
John Nies was a 6th round draft pick out of University of Arizona to the Buffalo Bills in
1990, followed by a turn as a professional model, actor and host of numerous ESPN
series and sports specials and is featured in Bruce Weber’s infamous book, BEAR POND.
John is the owner of The Power Center in Red Bank, New Jersey, a cutting edge training
facility that combines Eastern spirituality with modern Western training techniques
enabling his students to find inner peace and balance while reaching their full potential
of physical strength and personal power.
Along with his highly regarded sport-specific training program for athletes, John’s focus
is in helping people overcome substance abuse, food addictions, insomnia, depression
and a host of health related afflictions.
John is a spokesperson for Kids Kicking Cancer, an organization dedicated to helping
children with cancer find their inner power, peace and purpose through the focused
mind-body training found in the martial arts. He is also a contributor to the soon to be
published book, “Beauty Pearls for Chemo Girls” as an expert in the effect of exercise
on women facing cancer treatment, and an advisory board member of Beauty
Foundation for Women’s Cancer Care.
